I've been in rural New Zealand on a beautiful piece of land called 'The Farm' for almost two weeks now, and have been getting used to the book-writing version of Ethan.
I've never meet him before, but apparently book-writing Ethan is a total bad ass?! He wakes up at 4:00am (okay, fine...sometimes 5:00am), and has been almost perfect in his strictly raw diet, yoga and workout schedule, and not wasting time online. He's also been able to spend 4+ hours per day in full writing flow and is staying true to his commitments for long meditation practice. What a legend!
There's much to share personally around this process, but I'll save it for next week.
Oh, yeah! Did I mention I'm giving away a free flight to Portugal this summer for this year's Course of Transformation?! If that sounds tempting, please click here and enter your email on the website. Deadline is March 1st, winner announced on March 15th.
Thanks for reading! - Ethan ॐ
P.S. If you care about this work, please consider pre-ordering the book. This helps me fundraise for a proper book editor, and gives publishers confidence that it will not be a flop!

Ignorance is Not Bliss : A Short, Unedited Sneak Peek
From Chapter 1 : Pleasure
Despite all the persuasive chatter from biohackers and AI evangelists, your body and mind will grow old and die. Even if it ends up taking a few hundreds years longer than biologically pre-programmed, it is one of two things you can be absolutely certain about.
How any human can sleepwalk their way through life without really taking this fact to heart is one of Life’s true mysteries. Perhaps these people are blocked by misguided religious faith. Perhaps it is due to their believing such contemplation is a waste of precious time. Perhaps they are simply too caught up in the drama of everyday life for the shock of mortality to come say hi. Whatever the real reasons, it can sometimes take an agonizingly large series of unfortunate events before one wakes up to the fact that, ultimately, what one calls “my life“ is effectively outside “my control,” and that, really, one needs to get to the bottom of the human predicament ASAP before one exits the stage.
Even those who intellectually accept their destiny (again, the vast majority do not) typically only do so at a surface-level, claiming to want to live ‘more in the present moment’ in the face of death, philosophizing that because life is so short, it must all be about ‘becoming fulfilled,’ ‘having unique experiences,’ and ‘feeling as alive as possible, as often as possible’. Such a perspective can only arise after one’s initial consultation with finitude, but can stick around for the remainder of the incarnation. People seem certain that they can only accept such a bitter ending once they’ve made their brief adventure here on planet Earth as epic and story-worthy as humanly possible. Otherwise…what’s the point?
Because of this, people—the younger generation in particular—go (and continue to go for some time) to greater and greater extremes trying to fulfill their projected ideals of a life well-lived. Many try and try again to maximize their human incarnation by working relentlessly on their profession or passion, striving to rise higher in the ranks, always justtttt on the brink of having “made it“. Others go about it by participating in adrenalized activities such as drag racing, gambling, partying, compulsively working out, skydiving, tiktoking, building themselves into a brand, cold pluging, one-night stands, and the like, bypassing natural lows with the creation of artificial highs. An increasing number, though, are looking for that ineffable something—that sense of one’s life having purpose despite its also having an expiration date—through the collection of mystical experiences and spiritual knowledge (rarer is it these days to find someone who hasn’t tried at least one session of breathwork, meditation, tai chi, reiki, ecstatic dance, plant medicine, sound healing, tarot pulling, yoga, or shamanic journeying.)
Almost no one, not even the self-proclaimed spiritual folk, appears to be satisfied with a quiet, unimpressive life immersed in nature and prayer anymore, for everyone is now too busy seeking. Few are those willing to entirely walk away from the screens and influencers and breaking news to follow the happy rhythms of the sun and moon, not in the least bit tempted to try the latest spiritual technique or wellness tip, free from any and all need to share what they’ve been up to. Why?
